Premium rate numbers: important change to ToucanTalk Terms and Conditions.
Many customers have asked us to bar all Premium Rate Numbers on their phone, as they're concerned about running up excessive bills. (A Premium Rate Number is any number starting "09".)
Please note that, to simplify the situation and avoid any confusion, from 1st September, 2004 we started barring all calls from ToucanTalk phones to Premium Rate Numbers.
Of course, many customers want to be able to call 09 numbers - for example, weather forecast and astrological lines. If you'd like access reinstated on your phone, it's very easy: simply call Customer Services on 0871 221 2210 and ask to have call-barring lifted. Or you can email us at help@toucan.com, with "Call-barring" as the subject. Please make sure you include your name, phone number and account number in the email, together with your instructions.
